RunnerStone
The classic British/American gristmills grind grain between two stones, stacked one on top of the other. The bottom stone, or "bed" stone, is fixed to the floor. It does not move. The top stone is attached to a separate spindle. This is the "runner" stone. This is the stone that actually does the grinding.
It's not the pretty wheel on the outside of the mill that makes all of the paintings. It's not the bed stone that never moves. It's the one that turns and grinds each and every time that it is called to.
This is what RunnerStone is about. We hope that through creative problem solving, like that which created the incredible gristmills, and consistant hard work, like that which the runner stones use to create flour or meal, we can deliver attractive and effective solutions in everything we do.
We are the runner stones, and we will always believe in smart, original, unwavering, grit.
